Abstract:
To provide a device and method for predicting a power demand, which can report the tendency of a predicted deviation of power demand of the day to a trader.
A thermography 16 showing the air temperature distribution of areas is determined from a multi-spectral image 13 obtained by remote sensing that is a technique for observing the earth from the space by use of a sensor loaded in an artificial satellite 1 or the like, and the power demand prediction of the day is calculated form the temperature sensitivity of every area. When the deviation from a demand prediction value registered by a contractor is large, it is reported.
