To provide a screen printing device which can improve conversion efficiency by increasing the film thickness and forming a circuit pattern with a large aspect ratio in the sectional shape, and also, of efficiently removing the residual paste, as well as a screen printing method.
The screen printing device includes a squeegee head 13 which supplies a paste for circuit pattern to the surface of a metal mask 1 while relatively sliding a squeegee 14 of predetermined length into contact with the upper surface of the metal mask 1, and a cleaning nozzle 36 of predetermined length for cleaning the lower surface of the metal mask 1. The metal mask 1 includes a grid part on which each opening and a crosslinking part are installed, and a strip-like bus bar part on which a plurality of the grid parts are arranged in parallel, connected with the terminal end opening, at an end part in the longitudinal direction, of each grid part. In the cleaning nozzle 36, the longitudinal direction of the cleaning nozzle 36 is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the bus bar part.
