To conduct a seamless reproduction in the seam of a recorded stream when a plurality of video ES (multi-view) programs in a digital broadcasting are recorded and reproduced in a video recording and reproducing apparatus.
The video recording and reproducing apparatus is provided with a stream-information detector for detecting all video ES information in videos when a plurality of the video ES programs in the digital broadcasting are recorded; and a video filter for recording video ESs detected next to the start point instructed by a user from the heads of each GOP, while realizing a recording until the completion of each GOP of all video ESs containing the points of completion instructed by the user. Any video ESs are recorded for each GOP boundary.
