Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for reception and a broadcasting system with which advertisement information transmitted together with program data can be easily acquired as needed without storing it on the side of reception.
SOLUTION: A broadcasting signal containing electronic program guide information and the advertisement information is transmitted from a transmitter 2 to a receiver 4 and the receiver 4, which receives the broadcasting signal, separates the electronic program guide information from the received broadcasting signal and displays an electronic program guide picture displaying the advertisement information at one part on the basis of the separated electronic program guide information. When a cursor is moved to a prescribed program column on the displayed electronic program guide picture, the advertisement information corresponding to a prescribed program, to which the relevant cursor is moved, is displayed at one part of the electronic program guide picture so that each program on the electronic program guide picture and an advertisement corresponding to the relevant program can be displayed while being related.
