Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely prevent original data from being copied while restricting the illegal reproduction of the data, by inserting dummy data to a specified part of continuous data.
SOLUTION: The dummy address is decided by a dummy data address deciding part 1 in accordance with a cryptographic key, and by an address reproducing part 2, the address of a sector to record the data next time is reproduced. The dummy address and the recorded address are compared by a comparator circuit 3. A switch 4 is connected to a dummy data producing part 5 or a data read-in part 6 by the control of the comparator circuit 3 to output the recorded address. The dummy data are produced by the dummy data producing part 5, and the data to be recorded are read in for one sector by the data read-in part 6. By a recording part 7, the dummy data or the data to be recorded are recorded on a recording medium.
