Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control the security information of AV signals.
SOLUTION: A thumbnail image is extracted from a video signal, which is inputted from a terminal 12, and encoded by a thumbnail encoder 19. When the contents control information of the video signal inputted from the terminal 12 to become the original of the thumbnail image presents 'copy once', an encipher 22 is controlled by a controller 21, and the signal of the thumbnail image is enciphered and recorded on a recording medium 26. At such a time, information presenting that the enciphered thumbnail image is recorded, is made into file different from the thumbnail image as well and recorded on the recording medium.
