Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce meltable heavy metal in slag granulating water. SOLUTION: A reducer for meltable heavy metal in slag granulating water is constituted of a pH meter 4, a NaOH injection means 5 and a controller 6. In this case, the controller 6 controls a NaOH addition means 5 based on a pH value measured by the pH meter 4 to automatically inject a proper amount of NaOH aqueous solution enough to maintain slag granulating water 3 at a pH of about 9-12. At the pH of about 9-12, heavy metals such as lead in an exhaust gas forms hydroxides to be converted to a suspended solid when absorbed by the slag granulating water 3.
