Abstract:
To provide a device and method of separating a crude gas mixture using a dephlegmator that can be used without a header, a fluid collector or a distributor at the lower end of the crude circulating path of a plate fin heat exchanger operated for condensation or rectification.
Dephlegmators 1 and 37 are installed in a pressure vessel 3, thereby eliminating the necessity of a header, a fluid collector or a distributor at the lower end of a crude circulating path. The pressure vessel 3 is divided into the upper compartment and the lower compartment by the intermediate seal, so as to eliminate the necessity of the headers 15 and 39 at the upper end of the crude circulating path.
