To provide a voice communication support device and its method which can reduce apparently improve a voiceless state and reduce the stress to an opposite side by sequentially outputting a synthesized voice according to user's sentence input operation and automatically outputting a redundant word voice when the voiceless state continues.
This device is equipped with a character output part which temporarily stores the character string of a sentence inputted through sentence input operation and outputs it in response to output operation, a voice synthesis part which outputs synthesized voice data from the output character string, a redundant word storage part which previously stores a proper number of pieces of redundant word voice data, and an output control part which takes an output voice out of the synthesized voice data and outputs selected redundant voice data when no synthesized voice data are not inputted for a certain time.
