Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a page turning action by a method wherein page turning rollers, each of which is urged against the surface of an object page to be turned in a booklet-like medium under the state that its page is open, and a conveying roller pair for conveying the booklet-like medium are arranged and, at the same time, the feeding direction line of each page turning roller is directed to the diagonal line of the booklet-like medium.
SOLUTION: A bankbook 1 as a booklet-like medium under the state that its page is open is conveyed with a conveying roller pair 3. When the bound part 1b of the bankbook arrives at the terminal of a medium conveying guide 8, a leaping-up process starts or the bankbook 1 is curled upwards by being driven by a presser 7 so as to press an object page to be turned 1c against page turning rollers 2. After upper conveying rollers 3a on the object page to be turned 1a side is retreated upwards, by rotating the page turning rollers 2, a feeding force along a feeding directional line 4 is given to the object page to be turned 1a so as to separate the object page to be turned 1a from the next page. After that, by driving the conveying roller pair 3, the bankbook 1 is moved to the direction E normal to the bound part 1b so as to fall down the object page to be turned 1a to its opposite page side.
