Abstract:
PURPOSE: To carry out an automatic continuous monitoring of the amount of deviation that is caused due to the deterioration of shear pins between members on the driving and driven shaft sides which are connected with the shear pins in a coupling device.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of strikers 8a, 8b are mounted to the member 2 on the driving shaft side and the member 4 on the driven shaft side, the change of the clearance between the mutual strikers that is formed due to the deterioration of the shear pins is detected without contacting with a clearance detecting sensor 9 and the rotational speed of the coupling device is detected with a rotation detecting sensor 12. And, warning signal is outputted with a comparator circuit 21 in the case that the clearance detected with the clearance detecting sensor exceeds the allowable limit value when the rotational speed that is detected with the rotation detecting sensor 12 is the regular speed.
