Abstract:
To provide a device operating system and a device control method that can perform opening/closing operation for windows and the like without touching a switch even if the position, shape, and the like of the switch are unknown.SOLUTION: A gesture of a user is photographed. The user's instruction through the gesture is recognized by analyzing the captured image data. Based on gesture recognition results, a power window device is operated according to the user's instruction. Features are selected from the captured image data and a feature vector that follows each feature is calculated. Feature vectors from the previous and next image data are compared, and features for which feature vectors are similar are detected and temporal movement of the features is grasped. The movement of features is calculated as movement vectors and chronological data that indicates temporal changes in movement vectors is analyzed using a predetermined determination threshold. Based on results of the analysis, the user's instruction through gesture is determined, and according to the instruction, the power window device is operated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
