Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an economically meaningful method.SOLUTION: A device for preforming and rounding book blocks 1, 1' in a bookbinding machine comprises: transport devices 55, 56; a loading frame edge 63; a lifting device having a preforming mold 11, and at least two preforming tools 27 for processing backs 3 of the book blocks 1, 1'; and a rounding device 50 having two rounding rollers 57, 58 which are rotatable around parallel rotation axes 57', 58' and are rotated in directions opposite to each other. In the device, at least one first drive part is connected to at least one of the preforming tools 27 so that at least of the preforming tools 27 is displaced according to a longer direction parallel to the rotation axis 57', 58'. As a result, an interval of the preforming tools 27 in the longer direction can be changed by use of at least one drive part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
