PURPOSE: To improve heat conduction between the outer wall of a preparation container for ice cream and the inner wall of a cooling heat exchanger engageable with the preparation container, by providing special fins on the outer wall and inner wall.

CONSTITUTION: In a device for producing ice cream equipped with a cooling heat exchanger 6' having an evaporator 4 on the outside in a freezing system consisting of a compressor, condenser, capillary tube and the evaporator and an ice cream preparation container 9' engageable with the interior of the cooling heat exchanger 6', fins 12 having an uneven wavy form in the horizontal cross section and smaller downward cross section are provided on the inner wall of the cooling heat exchanger 6' and fins 13 in the form engageable with the fins 12 are provided on the outer wall of the preparation container 9'.
