To improve a chain flight type sludge collector provided in a settling tank of sewage farms, filter plants, industrial effluent treatment facilities, etc. and securely support a guide plate pressing a chain so as not to produce any tooth skipping of a sprocket by using a simple and lightweight member.
A plain bearing 11 is provided on a guide-support bifurcated bracket 10 installed on and supporting a guide plate 9, and the plain bearing is fitted in a drive axis 3b of a driving sprocket 3 and supports the guide-support bifurcated bracket 10 against "a force to cause the guide plate 9 to be floated" by the drive axis 3b. Further, the rotation of the guide-support bifurcated bracket 10 is prevented by a rotation-preventive material 12, which is a beam member installed in the settling tank (not shown).
