Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing outflow of a floating object which does not obstruct traffic on a passage in normal time and can prevent a floating object from flowing out of the passage without power when hit by a tsunami.SOLUTION: A device for preventing outflow of a floating object comprises: a reticular elevating fence 5 which is supported by lifting ropes 7L and 7R so that the same can be moved up and down along a pair of supporting columns 1L and 1R installed on both sides of a passage 36; a weight member 14 which is connected to the lifting ropes 7L and 7R and moves up the elevating fence 5 from a lowered position to an elevated position through the lifting ropes 7L and 7R while the same descends by own weight; a locking member 20 which locks the weight member 14 at the lowered position of the elevating fence 5; and a float 24 which unlocks the locking member 20 by being floated in accordance with an increase in a water level due to a tsunami.
