PURPOSE: To obtain a hot-rolled steel sheet of a little scale, by providing an antioxidant coating device for the surface of a steel sheet directly after rolling to an air-cooling zone between a finish roll stand and a hot run spray.
CONSTITUTION: A steel sheet 4 rolled into the prescribed dimensions by a finish roll stand 1 is passed through an air cooling zone and is coiled by a coiler 3 after being cooled by a hot run spray 2. A nozzle, for instance, a slit nozzle 5 for jetting an antioxidant to the upper surface of a steel plate 4 directly after rolling and a seal box 7 including table rolls 6 beneath the lower surface of the sheet are respectively provided. Then the antioxidant, for instance, a liquid mixture of Na2CO3 and NaOH is charged under pressure into the nozzle 5 and the box 7 to coat the upper and lower surfaces of the steel sheet directly after rolling.
