Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a device for processing scraps of a formed material in extrusion, a device which can be automated and which is capable of efficiently reducing the bulk of the scraps with a simple structure.
CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a means 11 for intermittently transporting at a specific interval in the longitudinal direction the scraps W1 of a formed material extruded from a transporting table 1, press means 12 which is successively provided in the scrap transporting direction of the intermittent transporting means 11 and which is operated at the time of suspension of the intermittent transportation so that the scraps are pressed for a specific size, and cutting means 13 which is provided parallelly to the press means 12 and which is actuated concurrently with the operation of the press means 12 so that the specific part of the scraps W1 pressed earlier is cut off. The scraps W1, pressed for a specific size by the press means 12 and cut for a specific size by the cutting means 13, are continuously discharged out of the machine by a scrap discharging means 14.
