Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize an in-automobile compartment noise reducing device in which an engine noise and a confined sound generated dependently of the number of engine rotation can be suppressed, and to attain cost reduction by sharing it with the DSP of a car audio system.
CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer 10 controls and executes a confined sound and engine noise (noise) suppressing operation according to the traveling state of an automobile. That is, the microcomputer 10 monitors a signal from an engine number of ration detector 3, and when an engine is being operated, the microcomputer 10 judges whether the traveling state of the automobile is a state that the automobile stops (1), the automobile is accelerating (2), or the automobile is traveling in a constant speed state (3), executes the suppression-control of the noise, and outputs a periodic signal for suppressing the noise necessary for suppressing the noise so that an output from the microphone 2 can be the minimum. The outputted periodic signal for suppressing the noise as a rectangular wave is converted through an LPF 15 into a waveform approximating to a sine wave, transmitted through an amplifier 17 and adders 18 and 19, and outputted from speakers 20 and 21, so that the noise in the automobile compartment can be canceled and suppressed. Also, the microcomputer 10 allows a DSP 9 to execute a confined noise suppression processing when the automobile is accelerating.
