PURPOSE: To display the image on a photographic paper in an appropriate state by actuating a turning means and shifting the focal distance of a lens to a short focus side in the case of discriminating that the image placed on an image reading position is a photograph in a vertical position.

CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a control means for actuating the turning means 123 and shifting the focal distance of the lenses 102 and 103 to the short focus side in the case of discriminating that the image on the photographic paper 8 is the photograph in the vertical position out of information read by a state reading means. Since the image reading means 123 is rotated so that the display may not be laterally turning display and the focal distance of the lenses 102 and 103 is shifted to the short focus side so that the up and down images may not protrude from a display screen, the image on the photographic paper 8 is displayed in the appropriate state by an image display means even when it is the photograph in the vertical position.
