PURPOSE: To realize a discrimination feedback equalizer able to equalize correctly an input signal including a reflection signal whose amplitude is a threshold level or over by devising the discrimination feedback equalizer that its initial value setting is attained.
CONSTITUTION: An initial value setting circuit 19 is added to an integration device 13, an initial value setting circuit 20 is added to an integration device 16, and an equalization start pulse 21 is given to the initial value setting circuits 19, 20. A proper initial value is set in advance to the initial value setting circuits 19, 20 and the initial value setting circuits 19, 20 are driven by the equalization start pulse 21 generated at the initial state and an initial value is respectively set to the relevant integration devices 13, 16. Thus, the discrimination feedback equalizer operated normally is realized even with the reflection signal input in excess of the threshold level.
