Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lance sealing device in a vacuum degassing equipment, in which the wear of a gland packing is prevented and the sealability is improved and the manufacture and the fitting of the lance and a guide rail therefor can be simplified.
SOLUTION: In the sealing device 1 shiftable in the lateral direction, constituted with the gland packing 6 and a tube seal 7 contacting with the outer peripheral surface of the lance 8 in a lance insert hole 19 arranged in a vacuum degassing vessel so that the lance 8 is freely elevated/lowered, guides 9, 10 for guiding the shifting in the lateral direction of the sealing device 1, are arranged respectively at the upper and the lower parts of the sealing device 1.
