PURPOSE: To improve durability and sealing effect by die-casting metal with a low melting point in one end of an inner tube covered with a thermo- contractive tube, and casting a terminal of the thermo-contractive tube in terminal fittings.

CONSTITUTION: Terminals of a plurality of elementary wires 2c composing an inner wire 2 are pressed, mutually entangled and twisted with each other. Then the outer surface thereof is covered with a thermo-contractive tube 6, and hot air is sent thereto in order to contract and fit to the wire closely. The terminal of the inner wire 2 is inserted into a die, and a terminal fitting 2a is cast through zinc die-casting. A terminal of an operation wire 1 is thus formed under a condition that the expanded terminal of the inner wire and the terminal of the thermo-contractive 6 are cast together in the terminal fittings 2a, 2b, and never contacted with external air. A part of the inner wire 2 projected from an outer cable 3 is prevented from being exposed directly to the weather, improving its durability.
