Abstract:

To make it easy for a user to grasp the status of a device such as an expansion card incorporated into a computer.

A card status deciding part 210 decides whether a home server card 100 is normally operating on the basis of the presence/absence of a normal status file 120, and a status icon display part 220 displays a status display icon 300 by changing display color on the basis of the decision result. Also, a card detail acquiring part 240 decides whether the home server card 100 is under start processing by using an error log file 120 and, when the home server card 100 is under start processing, calculates the degree of progress of the start processing by using a status storage folder 150. A tool chip display part 250 or a detail dialog display part 260 displays the degree of progress of start processing. further, the card detail acquiring part 240 acquires the error log of the error log file 120, and the detail dialog display part 260 displays the contents of the error log as a detail dialog.
