Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a steering gear from vibrating, by supporting a steering tube with an L-shaped member which couples the side panel of a cowl to a floor and by connecting the L-shaped member to the inner panel of the cowl through a bracket which can be easily deformed.
CONSTITUTION: A steering gear support body 17 for supporting a steering tube 19 is provided with an L-shaped member 23 which is fixedly coupled to the side panel 7 of a cowl and a floor 4a. The part of the L-shaped member 23 which is fitted with the steering tube 9 is connected to the inner panel 10 of the cowl by a deformable bracket 32. The steering tube 19 is secured and supported on the L-shaped member 23 by a bracket 31.
