Abstract:
To provide a use control system for using a device only when a license is valid.
This device is connected via a network to an external management device, and configured so as to be used only by a user having a valid license. This device comprises a reading means which reads license information from a memory card in which license information showing a license is stored; an inquiry means which makes an inquire of the management device about whether the license indicated by the license information is valid or invalid; and a control means which, in a case where a result of the inquiry shows that the license is invalid, controls so as to inhibit the device from operating.
