To enhance the operational responsiveness of a multiple disc type friction clutch 14A by avoiding formation of oil films in a clearance between a clutch plate 14a of the friction clutch 14A and an armature 15 or a rear housing 11a which abuts the clutch plate, in a device for transmitting driving forces in which an outer case 10a with the multiple disc type friction clutch 14A frictionally engaged therewith is connected to an inner shaft 10b by an electromagnetic control means in such a manner that torques can be transmitted therebetween.
The clutch plate 14a is provided with a number of waste oil channels 14a3 on its opposite surfaces 14a1 and 14a2 opposite to the armature 15 and the rear housing 11b, respectively, to assist in discharging oil that may form oil films between the armature 15 and the rear housing 11b.
