To individually execute the regulation of twist angle in each retainer and to execute the twisting formation having good precision by arranging a rotary driving device and a rotary transmitting device, in which each movable lower retainer is independently return-driven, in a die set.
At the time of completing the twist forming movement, an upper retainer 3 and an upper die 8 are ascended and a product is taken out by using a handling device and returned back to the state before executing the twisting movement. The lower retainers 7 at the frontmost side and the rearmost side are rotated in the same direction through a twist-returning shaft 16B and a gear transmitting mechanism and the lower retainer 7 at the center is rotated in the reverse direction to the lower containers 7 at the frontmost side and rearmost side and return back to the initial position. A stopper fitted to the lower retainer 7 is abutted on a lower retainer rotary supporting part 6 to position the original state. Since each of the lower retainers 7 is rotated to return back with an independent return-back driving machine, the device can be returned back in the state having no difference of the angle without loading any load to the twist-returning shaft 16B and the gear transmitting mechanism.
