PURPOSE: To simultaneously carry a flat foil and a waved foil and to shorten the time from a fitting to a winding processes by sticking the fed flat foil and waved foil while neatly arranging the end surfaces of both foils at the step of winding the flat foil and the waved foil.
CONSTITUTION: At the step of neatly arranging the end surfaces of the flat foil 2 and the waved foil 3, disk electrodes 15 for electric resistant welding are descended and the electric current is conducted while holding the waved foil 3 and shifting backward, and the waved foil 3 and the flat foil 2 are welded in about 30mm to withdraw the electrodes to the upper front part. Further, a threader 12 releases clamps 14a, 14b and retreats. The flat foil 2 fixed with the waved foil 3 is shifted by advancing the clamped end surface arranging guide 4, and at the time of coming to the winding position, the flat foil 2 is clamped with clamps 16a, 16b. In this condition, a winding shaft 1 is advanced to interpose the flat foil. Successively, the clamps 16a, 16b and a clamp 10 in the end surface arranging guide release the flat foil and retreat. After completing the retreating, a motor for driving the winding shaft is rotated and a cylindrical metal honeycomb structural body is manufactured by simultaneously winding the flat foil 2 and the waved foil 3.
