To provide a method of sterilization capable of effectively removing floating bacteria in the air by activating positive/negative ions and ozone and increasing the safety, a method of deodorization capable of effectively decomposing odor components in the air, and a sterilization/deodorization device using the methods.
Floating bacteria or odor components in the air are decomposed by releasing positive/negative ions and ozone. Actually, the device comprises an ion generating means for generating positive and negative ions, an ozone generating means for generating ozone, and a blower means. More preferably, a discharge device 11 for discharging by applying the pulse voltage consisting of positive/negative voltages to electrodes 103 and 104 is used as the ion generating means and the ozone generating means.
