Abstract:
To provide a sampling device suitable for collecting a sample in an aquaculture environment, an enclosed system, or the gastrointestinal tract of a human or animal.SOLUTION: A capsule-type sampling device comprises a housing. The housing comprises a chamber, at least an opening, a spring as actuation means, a separate compartment, and retaining means to releasably retain the separate compartment in the housing. The separate compartment is ejectable. The actuation means enables an internal substance to be drawn into the chamber through the opening and simultaneously pushes the separate compartment along the housing until the separate compartment is ejected from the housing of the sampling device, thereby creating an increased space or volume for receiving and storing a sample in the chamber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
