Abstract:
The present invention relates to a non-surgical method of tattoo removal, the method comprising directing laser light from a laser light source to at least one cellular structure comprising at least one region of heterogeneity, and directing a plurality of extracorporeally-generated shockwaves to the at least one cellular structure until the at least one cellular structure is subjected to membrane-degradation damage, where portions of the laser light are delivered in an alternating sequence with respect to delivery of portions of the shockwaves.
