Abstract:
To provide devices and methods for treating, reducing and preventing adverse skin/scalp conditions and enhancing the topical application of a benefit agent.SOLUTION: Devices and methods for delivering ultrasonic energy are provided. The method comprises a step of providing and orienting the device. The device comprises transducers 8 controlled to orient at an angle other than 90° relative to a surface to which the ultrasound is to be applied. In addition, the devices and methods can be used with active benefit agents, and specific skin benefits and penetration of benefit agents through skin may be achieved by controlling the angle at which the ultrasound is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
