Abstract:
A winding apparatus comprises first roll, second roll, and third roll parallel to one another and to a winding roll (2). It has a nominal winding position in which the first and second rolls and the winding roll are each in contact with the third roll. The web (1) passes between the third roll and the winding roll, and where in the nominal winding position, the third half-plane is horizontal. A web winding apparatus comprises first roll, second roll, and third roll parallel to one another and to a winding roll. It has a nominal winding position in which the first and second rolls and the winding roll are each in contact with the third roll; there is no contact between the first roll and the second roll, between the first roll and the winding roll and between the second roll and the winding roll; a first angle defined between a first half-plane delimited by the axis of the third roll and comprising the axis of the first roll and a second half-plane delimited by the axis of the third roll and comprising the axis of the second roll is smaller than 180[deg]; a second angle defined between a third halfplane delimited by the axis of the third roll and comprising the axis of the winding roll and a fourth half-plane delimited by the axis of the third roll and comprising an intersection line is greater than 90[deg], the intersection line being defined as the intersection between the bisector plane of the first angle and the plane comprising the axis of the first roll and the axis of the second roll. The web passes between the third roll and the winding roll, and where in the nominal winding position, the third half-plane is horizontal. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a method for winding web(s) on a winding roll using the inventive apparatus, where, in the nominal winding position, the web passes between the first roll and third roll and then between the third roll and the winding roll, but not between the second roll and the third roll; and (b) a method for threading webs on a winding roll using the inventive apparatus, comprising providing a core connected to roll in a turret, and winding the web on core while the web passes between upper roll and lower roll, bringing the winding roll and the unit formed by rolls (3, 4, 5), accelerating rolls to web speed, while applying forces onto the extremities of roll to maintain it in contact with rolls, bringing roll into contact with roll, separating the unit formed by rolls, while applying forces and bending moments onto the extremities of roll to maintain it in contact with rolls, rotating the turret by 360[deg] in order to make the web wrap rolls, bringing the wind roll and the unit formed by rolls together again, and cross-cutting web between rolls and, causing the web to be wound on roll.
