Abstract:
To provide a diagnostic method of Takayasu's arteritis using a serum marker.
The Takayasu's arteritis is diagnosed using the amount of an anti-peptidylprolylisomerase A(PPIA) antibody as an index. The amount of the anti-PPIA antibody in serum is measured and, when the amount of the anti-PPIA antibody is larger than a predetermined value, it is judged that an examinee suffers from the Takayasu's arteritis. By using the amount of the anti-PPIA antibody as the index, the Takayasu's arteritis can be diagnosed rapidly and easily.
