Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to diagnose abnormality of only a peripheral equipment by deciding upon request operation contents in a control block and then by letting the peripheral equipment transfer data with a main memory unit by itself corresponding to the operation contents.
CONSTITUTION: Between central processor 1 and main memory unit 2, data are transferred via bus 3. Main memory unit 2 has two different regions, 1st region 2a and 2nd region 2b. Via the abovementioned bus 3, channel 4 transfers data between central processor 1 and main memory unit 2. In channel 4, memory circuit 4a and channel control circuit 4b are provided. Channel 4 is connected to an auxiliary memory circuit via bus 5.
