Abstract:
To provide a dial device and an imaging device such that a code whose signal codes are all "0" can be generated, and 2phases can be detected with a signal pattern having as many as a circumferences without increasing signal patterns.SOLUTION: A dial device has an operation member which is operated to rotate, a contact member which has a plurality of contact parts and rotates as the operation member is rotated, and a substrate which has a signal pattern provided on a plurality of concentric circles having their centers in the center of rotation of the operation member, and outputs a binary code as the plurality of contact parts come into contact with the signal pattern. The signal pattern has a reference signal pattern connected to a reference potential, and first and second patterns for outputting first and second signals, and at least two contact parts among the plurality of contact parts are provided on a predetermined concentric circle of the signal pattern, and come into contact with the signal pattern having a reference signal region and a first signal region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
