Abstract:
To provide a dial operation device which allows an improved operational feeling by suppressing backlash in two directions, namely a rotation direction and a direction perpendicular to the rotation direction, while enabling a reduction in size.SOLUTION: A dial operation device comprises: a disc-like member 24 having a dial operation member 21, and an undulation group made up of a plurality of undulation parts which are located on a surface of a cone around a rotation axis and are radially aligned around the rotation axis; and a plate-like elastic member 22 having a ball member 23, and a ball holding part 22b which are arranged between the dial operation member and the disc-like member so as to hold the ball member. The ball holding part engages with the undulation parts of the undulation group via the ball member and is energized in an extension direction of the undulation parts. Thus, the dial operation device is energized in a rotation axis direction and a rotation radius direction by energizing force generated in the holding part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
