Abstract:

To provide a diamond reinforces Al alloy composite member excellent in heat radiation characteristic in the normal service temp. region of the member and having high thermal conductivity.

This diamond reinforced Al alloy composite member with high thermal conductivity comprises an Al matrix composed of Al and diamond grains dispersed in the matrix. The member is a plastic worked article. Thermal conductivity C varies so as to draw a conic section with the increase in temp. The maximum value (Cmax) of the thermal conductivity (C) lies in the normal service temp. region (Rt) of the member, represented by 373K≤Rt≤573K.
