Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the new derivative having a nicotine-like choline action and a dopamine-releasing action and useful as a therapeutic agent for dementia diseases such as Alzheimer's diseases, an improving agent for dysmnesia, a therapeutic agent for central nerve-degeneration diseases, and an improving agent for cerebral function diseases.
CONSTITUTION: A derivative of formula I {R is -CONH-(CHR1)m-R2 [R1 is H, an alkyl; m is 0-2; R us a (substituted) aryl, a (substituted) hetero ring group, etc.], -CO-R3 (R3 is an alkyl, an aralkyloxy, etc.)], e.g. 2-oxo-3,7- diazabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane-3-carboxylic acid benzylamide (hydrochloride). The derivative is obtained e.g. by obtaining a compound of formula III (R6 is an alkyl; P is an amino-protecting group) from a compound of formula II as a starting substance, subjecting the compound of formula III to a cyclization reaction, reacting the obtained compound of formula IV with a compound of the formula: R2-(CHR1)m-N=C=O, and subsequently removing the protecting group from the obtained compound of formula V.
