Abstract:
To provide a dichroic color less prone to undergo chemical change in the polymerization reaction of liquid crystal microcapsules or in using with the lapse of time a liquid crystal display element, and making no cause of color blur, the polymerization inhibition of liquid crystal microcapsules and/or the reliability decline in TFT driving.
This dichroic color is such that the dichroic color molecule has at least one kind of atom among S, Se and Te in the structure; wherein at least one kind of atom is characterized by having a valence of ≤3 and being bound to an oxygen atom or electron-attractive group.
