To provide a dictionary device capable of checking whether a word searched for in the past can be memorized or not.
The dictionary device comprises a dictionary data memory section 1 memorizing dictionary data having multiple correspondence between words and their translations, an input acceptance section 2 accepting input of a word, a search section 3 searching a translation corresponding to the word accepted by the input acceptance section 2 from the dictionary data, a frequency information memory section 4 memorizing frequency information having search frequencies which are the number of frequencies searching the words by the search section 3, a frequency information renewal section 5 renewing the frequency information memorized by the frequency information memory section 4 according to the search by the search section 3, a list formation section 6 forming a list of words kept in the dictionary data on the basis of the dictionary data and frequency information, and an output section 7 outputting the list of words formed by the list formation section 6 and the translation included in the dictionary data searched by the search section 3.
