Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the efficiency of work by reducing the number of equipment for heating and prevent the occurrence of thermal deformation due to the overheat of a cable insulating body.
CONSTITUTION: In the die for connecting a power cable, the outer circumferential part of a cylindrical two-split die main body 1 is divided into a both-end zone B and a central zone A in the direction of the length, and a tape heater 6 for heating by a Joule loss each of the zones A, B independently is applied to the whole circumferential surface of each of the zones A, B.
