Abstract:
To provide a die forging method, with which intermediate split dies interposed between flanges in a shaft-like forged product can easily be taken off.
The shaft-like forged product 20 composed of the shaft part 21, intermediate flange 22 and end part flange 23 is formed with the die forging from a shaft-like primary forged material 10 with a free-forging, by using the intermediate split dies 2. Then, when the intermediate split dies 2 interposed between the intermediate flange 22 and the end part flange 23 is removed from both flanges, pressing-down force is given on the upper surface of the intermediate split dies 2 through metallic tools 4, 4 for pressing down with a forging press used for the die forging.
