Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of excessive EGR during the rapid increase and the rapid decrease of an engine load and prevent temporary worsening of smoke.
SOLUTION: A diesel engine 1 comprises a variable capacity type turbo supercharger 3 having a moving nozzle vane; an EGR device 4 having an EGR valve 15; a controller 13 to control the opening of the moving nozzle vane and the EGR valve 15 based on engine operation states Ne and Acc; and the controller 13 which, during the rapid increase of an engine load, starts control of the opening of the moving nozzle vane after control of the opening of the EGR valve 15 is started.
