Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain performance of a fuel injection pump for a long time, by adjusting temperature of diesel fuel so that it is in a specified value at the inlet of a fuel injection pump, when the diesel fuel with a specific sulfur containing rate is supplied into a diesel engine.
SOLUTION: In a supply device 10, which supplies diesel fuel with sulfur containing rate 0.05 mass % or lower into a diesel engine 20, diesel fuel which is accommodated in a fuel tank 12 is separated from foreign matter by a fuel filter 14, is adjusted by a fuel temperature adjusting device 16 in temperature, is supplied into a fuel injection pump 18, and is supplied into the diesel engine 20 through this fuel injection pump 18. In this case, the fuel temperature adjusting device 16 consists of a cooling device 22, a heating device 24, a bypass pipe 26, a temperature sensor 28, and a temperature control device 30, adjusts temperature of diesel fuel so that it is under 40°C at the inlet of the fuel injection pump. Therefore, performance degradation of the fuel injection pump 18 is avoided.
