Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an output shaft so that it is not away in the axial direction with respect to a housing of a differential gear by inserting a C-type clip retainer mannually in the circumferential groove corresponding to a close terminal of the output shaft in an access window part provided with a center cam member and a center drive member arranged coaxially.
SOLUTION: To connect output shafts 12, 14 to an assembled differential mechanism, a bolt 62 is pulled out so that a spacer pin 60 can be removed, and the output shaft 12 is led into the differential gear toward the axial direction until a groove 54 is exposed from window parts at a central cam member and a drive gear member, and the shaft 12 is inserted thereinto. The shaft 12 is moved left in the axial direction so as to store a C-type clip 50 in a counter bore 18c, and the clip is retained in the groove 54 so that the left movement of the output shaft 12 in the axial direction is prevented. Similarly, an output shaft 14 is inserted in the differential mechanism toward the axial direction, and a second C-type clip is inserted in the groove 56 so that the groove is exposed from the access window part.
