Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the transmission loss of an antenna power feeding circuit and to perform the accurate beam direction control.
CONSTITUTION: A transmission signal generation circuit 100 is provided with a base band signal generation circuit 20, a phase arithmetic circuit 21, a phase shift amount arithmetic circuit 27, waveform shaping filters 22a and 22b, and an orthogonal modulator 30. Each circuit performs digital processing. The orthogonal modulator 30 is provided with multipliers 23a and 23b, an adder 24, and an orthogonal carrier generation circuit 28. The phase shift amount arithmetic circuit 27 calculates the phase shift amount of a signal to be transmitted from an antenna element based on the inputted wave angle and azimuth, outputting it to the phase shift arithmetic circuit 21. The phase shift arithmetic circuit 21 performs a phase shift operation for two-sequence binary pulse signals x1 and x2, outputting two-sequence binary pulse signals y1 and y2 as the result of calculation. A transmission signal to be outputted from an adder 24 is provided with a phase required for the corresponding antenna element.
