To provide a digital broadcast receiver in which received content data can be recorded, when it is difficult to view and listen the content data at reserved time.

The digital broadcast receiver comprises a section 102 for receiving a digital broadcast wave including the content data, a speaker 110 for performing pronunciation, an input section 106 for setting a normal mode and "silent mode", a viewing/listening reservation section 105 for setting reservation time of content data, and a control section 112 for controlling the content data receives at the receiving section 102 to be reproduced if a normal mode has been set, when current time becomes the set reservation time and to be recorded in a recording section 111, if silent mode has been set.
