PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver that allows a user to view a program desirably viewed with high quality even when a reception state of a broadcast signal is deteriorated due to a degraded weather.
SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver at a viewer side that is able to receive a broadcast signal sent from a broadcast station broadcasting the broadcast signal resulting from multiplexing 1st program data broadcast in real time and 2nd program data scheduled to be broadcast after a prescribed time, at least includes a reception means that receives the broadcast signal, a program data separation extract means that separately extracts the 1st program data and the 2nd program data from the broadcast signal, a storage means that stores the 2nd program data, a storage means that stores the 2nd program data, a reproduction program data selection means that selects 3rd program data of the 2nd program data whose broadcast time management data are the same as those of the 1st program among the program data extracted from the broadcast signal having already been received and stored in the storage means or the 1st program data for the reproduction depending on the reception state of the broadcast signal and an output means that outputs the program broadcast data based on the result of selection by the reproduction program data selection means.
